Ananias McMeans Jr.

Ananias McMeans was born September 3, 1946 in Chapman, Alabama to the late Ananias and Earma McMeans. He departed this life on December 26, 2020. 

            He married Patricia Chambers in 1968. To this union two sons were born. He was proceeded in death by his son Jeffrey McMeans. 

            Ananias graduated from Georgiana Training School in 1965. He served 22 years in the military from which he retired. After retirement he served as the manager of a nursing home. He returned to live in Georgiana in 1996. 

            He leaves to mourn: two sons, Darryl (Monique) McMeans and Carlos McMeans both of Youngstown, Ohio. Four dedicated sisters: Annie L. Grase, Barbara F. Littles, Jerria L. Pennington, and Carolyn M. Willis all of Georgiana, AL. Seven grandchildren: Four (4) grandsons: Davon, Javon, Darryl, and Jeff. Three (3) granddaughters: Kiana, Janasia, and Monette all of Ohio. A host of nieces and nephews. A very special cousin: Cynthia Pate.
