Josephine Walker

 Josephine Walker was born to the late Joe Nathan Crum and Mattie Mae Gandy on February 14, 1942. 

Josephine departed this earthly life on December 14, 2020 at her residence surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Leroy Walker, Sr. and two sons, Chester D. Thompson and Cleveon Walker, and her brother Josephus Thompson. 

Josephine joined Mt. Rose Baptist Church at an early age and later joined First Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she remained faithful until her illness. She was loved by many, known for her good cooking and had a compassion for children. 

Josephine was united in Holy Matrimony to Leroy Walker, Sr. To this union five children were born, Cynthia (Joe) Mixon, Eyvonne (Wilmer) Mixon, (Deceased) Cleveon (Heather) Walker, Leroy(Sheller) Walker, Jr., Jolanda (Donald) Bradley.  Chester Thompson and Lester(Janice) Thompson. Twenty Grandchildren, Tyrone, Andre, Tykeria, Joe, Jr., Monica, Tanesha, Jerome, Shakayla, Deon, Kevin, Cleavon, Christopher, Jr., Cleandrea, Davontia, Miesha, Myxavis, Keondra, Breanna, Tymisha, and Torey twenty-one great grandchildren. 

Josephine’s memories will forever line on through her children and grandchildren whom she loved and cherished dearly.  Her devoted sister, Ola Mae Robinson, Aunt Lucille (Leroy) Jackson of Pensacola, FL; Uncle Franklin (Vivian) Gandy and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
